Dima, of the Military Summary Channel, talks about the Transnistrian request in the first few minutes of todays update. Of note is his belief that this 'cry for help' would only happen with the agreement of Russian political leaders, which would be a significant development.

Russia would have to take southern Ukraine to create a land bridge to Transnistria, which is a breakaway section of eastern Moldova X(NATO)X, directly adjacent to western Ukraine. Will Russia openly take land NATO still claims? Stay tuned.
