Setting a global precedent.

A judge has ruled that mandating COVID-19 vaccines for some Queensland frontline workers was unlawful based on human rights grounds.

The two groups were testing the legality of the directions on several grounds of the Judicial Review Act (JRA) and the Human Rights Act (HRA).

Arguments were also made by the applicants about breaches of section 17 of the HRA, which says people should not be subjected to medical treatment without full, free and informed consent.

Queensland Police Service workers were required to have received two doses of the vaccine by December 2021.

Government considering ruling. Health minister Shannon Fentiman said the state government was "still considering the decision".

The government has been ruled to acting unlawfully in breach of human rights, now the government will decide what its punishment will be.

Every vaxx mandate case brought to the BC Human Rights Tribunal was dismissed out of hand. They didn't even look at it.
