I have to admit that I was raised, like so many of us Christians, that the Sabbath didn't matter now. Recently my son raised the question of whether or not we should keep it. I have been studying and praying about it quite a lot. I have been trying to keep it , but it will take some time to adjust the way we have always lived.

Same here Peleg, Saturday was a day for sport! mostly football :p
Reading the scriptures I came to believe that the Shabbat was a sign of covenant, and a mark of His people who accepted His authority as the creator. I thought there would probably be all kinds of issues keeping the day so I prayed and asked for His help and for 8 years now it has been nothing but a very great blessing :)

It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day He rested, and was refreshed.
Exodus 31:17

9 There remains therefore a rest for the people of God.
10 For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.
11 Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.
Hebrews 4:9-11

For several years I kept dusk to dusk Shabbat and was very happy with that, then about two years ago I became convinced that the day begins at sunrise. This has not only enhanced the day for me but has helped greatly in making sense of the scriptures (and the world).

Dawn Day-start Exposes the Sunset Counterfeit - Covenant Calendar Classroom [2.29.34]

“As we go through these special Bible testimonies, do remember that every word in Scripture is important – or – none of the words are “idle.” No, not one. There’s going to be an abundance of “calendar language” in these stories, and yes indeed they are calendar lessons – every one of them. Not one time are the events out of order – even children can follow the events and chart what happens on “this day, and this night” and discern that the sunset marker did not change the calendar language. We will examine only about 8 Old Testament stories out of about 40 and then Tim will take us through the last moments of Yahusha’s passion events in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. This is where you will find out just how Yahusha has established His day-commencement. Again, “Come and See.” Blessings & Shalom!”

22 It is of Yahuah's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning: great is your faithfulness.
