Woman do seem to have a hard time with contentment. Do you have reason to believe she wishes she made more than you for leverage?

It could be she feels guilty about how nice you guys have it.

It could be she feels like you spend too much money but doesn’t want to challenge you directly.

Ask her about it, if there is a deeper concern. Gently calling these things out builds trust after you have worked things out and removes places for rot to hide.

Keep stashing the extra $ away and keep it off grid. Gold rounds from rebates, deposits you keep or refunds for example. If you stay together for 2 years after your last coin is stashed it's your's. Make sure it's not traceable and don't share that with anyone other than your most trusted soulmate, like a brother. If you stay together, then no worries, but if you split, you'll be appreciating my advice.

That's what I did when we were headbutting, and having a 6 figure stash that's all of yours will take that pressure off and in our case, we stayed together.

The other advice is to get marriage counseling. You might simply be having miscommunications which can be ironed out by a 3rd party. Someone close to me accepted the advice and one day showed up with a safe that had well over $200,000 and cases of expensive wine which he knew she didn't inventory. After they split, he grabbed the safe back from me and cashed the coins in for real estate and is in a massively happier and financially secure place with the bitch gone. It's bad enough she got over half of his pension, but it took the sting out.
