SS should be a 401k attached to the worker that funded it.

SS is MATCHED by the employer. Every dollar that is stolen from each worker is also stolen from the employer. People who actually "work" dangerous, time intensive jobs will rarely see an actual payout of what was stolen.

And, if you had actually been responsible and put your foot down and instead put that money in private investments it might actually be worth something. Investing in government is the dumbest investment someone could make and they did it collectively. No one owes them anything for a bad investment decision.
