Wait, why would you WANT to look like Windoze? I thought the only reason people used it was compatibility with their favorite apps/games. To copy everything BUT the compatibility seems retarded. OK, if they copied the UI of an older Windows then you might have something, the one where you could fit 4x the information on screen due to a non-bloated font and graphical control design.
yeah something like that. i used linux a few years ago and the only negatives that i found about it was the fact that you needed wine or proton to play games and terminal. granted i used to use DOS commands back in the day but doing most of your stuff by just clicking icons is way more convenient for me
People are used to Windows. They probably use Windows, and windows programs, at work; they've used Windows their whole life. So if you were to give them an OS that doesn't look and act exactly like what they're used to, they're lost and frustrated.
There is a huge potential market for a Linux OS with no learning curve whatsoever. Especially as software companies push for subscription based software.
And I know, I know. People should just switch to Linux and learn how to use it. But the vast majority of people are idiots, and too stupid to do anything if someone isn't holding their hand the entire time.
