I like how there was a time when companies were advertising the quality and reliability of their products. So sad this is long gone.

That was back when they did the manufacturing in their own communities and not offshore in China, Vietnam, Mexico, the Philippines, etc….
It’s about maximizing price per unit and not about value, quality, and longevity anymore.


I happily pay more for domestic products that I know and are of quality. Berkey water filters, for example.

Oh, i thought more like the mid 60-70's chevy corvette stingray fastbacks ... (esp mentioning the beetle only doing 72mph, and going right past gas stations, tire stores and repair shops.)
