While describing the floor plan of the lavish building he refers to one room as a 'mudroom.' The problem is that there is no word 'mudroom' in the Russian language, they would translate to something like 'foyer'. Instead Navalny said "The room where they keep the mud" Literally no native Russian speaker would say this. His handler used google translate and Navalny read the queue cards like an obedient dog.

I'm not defending Putin in any way here. Navalny was poisoned, imprisoned, beaten, mistreated in jail, etc. but this was not Putin persecuting a political rival, this was Putin dealing with a foreign agent/spy in a harsh way.

Navalny was a criminal and a liar. He was also a minor political figure in Russia - he got like 25% of the vote for Mayor of Moscow in 2013. His notoriety is western driven and he was a nobody for years in Russia. He was also probably taken out by his handlers.
