So you are old enough to remember when GPUs were $250 and not $3500.

I’m old enough to remember my first CGA card and said goodbye to monochrome. (Before that I used punch cards and printers.)

Did you at least have an amber CRT and a dot matrix printer?

dot matrix printer

It still makes me laugh at how absurdly loud those things were.

I had to use SimCGA to fool Sierra and MSFS2 into thinking I had a color graphics adapter.
Drooled over 1MB Voodoo Cards (at microcenter).
paid over $900 for my first CD Burner.

Last week a ruby coder called me insane because I know C++
Dont they teach these kids anything?

I got thrilled as fuck when I read an article that Voodoo was returning. Then the venture fell through.

Yes and I had the first GeForce, too.

SLI voodoo 2 was witchcraft in the late 90s, ran everything great at a whopping 1024x68

I had the Voodoo Banshee in my P2-450. It would tear through Unreal.

I remember 3DFX. The Voodoo series crushed anything Matrox could make, and Mechwarrior 2 proved it!

I STILL have 3.5-inch floppy disks (1.44 megabytes), and an external USB Floppy drive. Never really use it, but damn it, I have it attached to my computer... (I actually do look at the contents of those disks once in a great while, when I get nostalgic...)

1.44MB? That's one of those new floppy disks. (Not floppy but sturdy)

Correct, newer, but still quite obsolete.
