I remember reading an article in the 90s saying "Lettuce causes cancer." I stopped listening to all diet information after that. My theory is that if it was constantly consumed before 1800, it is good (enough) for me.

Chemists are the enemy of the human diet.

Depends where it was grown and what it is coated with.

My family follows a Victorian era style diet and we've felt a lot better since switching to produce from our farms and neighbours.

Shit I remember being a kid in the 80s and in the tabloids at the registers every other week it was "Eggs are good!" and then "No, eggs are bad!" Then again this fits coz the Daily Mail is an online gutter trash tabloid.
