He talks about how this was planned for a while. First time he was going to do it, he pulled out because he found he was being spied on. Based on the timeline he presented, it sounds like this might've been about ten months ago.

Channels/websites are often made far in advance of serving their purpose. That channel was probably going to serve the same purpose if Tucker was able to do the first interview- he still has access to it, so he's why not use it?
