So, here I am writing out these checks, yes I do it the old boomer way, whatever. And in these three envelopes I open from the mortgage company are all these inserts with nigger faces on them. Bought a lot in NH, picked away at building out of pocket over 5 years using savings and vacation time. Covid bullshit hit, I wfh anyway and so does the wife, so we sold the house with a mortgage note on it in MA a few years back and moved up here. Now no mortgage debt. I did just take out a loan on a tractor, 0%, 7 years Kioti 35 HP, can't pass up on 0%, yeah I wanted Kubota but they want too much $$ and the Kioti has proven to be a decent machine

Yeah, MA was too much. I am an aging gen-X and remember when MA started getting really bad in the late 80's. I live on a private gravel road (lake association road), so I am grading a couple times a year, and plowing my driveways. I also picked up a sizable parcel in one of the MA border towns, going to cut a road in this spring. I used to have a little Kubota B-series subcompact, it was a little beast but when I went to see the local kubota dealer I couldn't get any sales reps to look up from their monitor and what they wanted for a 2014 L-series with 600 hours on it was less than what I paid for a new Kioti CK3520 with 7 years of warranty. The Korean stuff ..ain't bad. I go to the Kioti dealer up here in Concord and I was dealing with the owner, guy knows his shit. I would look at TYM as well, but Kioti seems to have a bigger dealer presence / footprint. But debt-free is the way to be, this is my only debt

We have three houses. One we live in and two rentals in AZ. We have crunched the numbers on all three and we are paying them off one at a time. The first one will take three years. The second two years and the third two years. Hitting the higher interest loans first, even though the balance is lower. Then the third, which is our residence. Doing this by throwing $5600 extra a month at the payments.
