Probably because he likewise slept around and had no love for his wife and the marriage was a political arrangement.

Commodus however was described as a blond-headed super athlete of striking beauty, so maybe he did get proper cucked.

-maybe it's not true

-maybe he didn't care because he was tired of fucking her

-maybe they both fucked other people, as their marriage was arranged, and they never loved each other anyway

There are similar slants against pretty much every Roman Emperor and politician. One of the popular political insults of the time was to call your political rival a faggot and tell everyone his wife shacks up with other people because of it-- because no one wants a weak effeminate ruler who can't maintain order in his own house.

Plausibly, the wild historical records regarding Nero (fucking a horse, kicking his pregnant wife to death, becoming the bride of another man, etc) could actually just be these kinds of political insults and slander-- because he pissed off a ton of other Roman politicians & gentry for some reason.

Particularly around the 'intimate' personal lives of historical rulers, all of it has to be taken with a grain of salt-- as A) the information usually never coming directly from a primary source, and B) usually these guys get written about long (decades/centuries) after they're dead. The Romans were pretty good record keepers (compared to other civilizations of the time), but it's not like they wrote down the meeting minutes for each time they met in the Forum. Unhappy political marriages certainly occurred, but its almost impossible to know which ones had the issue. The vast majority definitely did not intricately detail their personal lives in (surviving) diaries and biographies.

I would lean in the direction that if Marcus Aurelius actually had this issue with the Empress-- it would have been more well-documented-- as he himself, is pretty well-known (even in this very post) for being one of the more scholarly Emperors anyway. So I have a hard time believing this without way more information (that is unlikely to exist).

Additionally, its not unlike the kikes to slander popular historical goyim for (((reasons)))-- which everyone here should be very familiar with already.

This is all exactly correct and many people fail to realize it. A lot of the debauchery told about ancient Rome is unfounded libel to try and put them in a bad light. Yes, they had avarice and vice and undoubtedly did bad things just like modern man does, but all the insane over-the-top stories are exactly that - stories, not history.

Cassius was a general, not a slave. The affair is alleged, not fact.
