The rate of attrition for both sides is truly hellish. I've watched a lot of the combat footage available- drone bombings are so effective, they often wipe out entire squads of ~12 men by just dropping a bunch of grenades and crashing a kamikaze drone into some equipment.
And neither side appears to be fighting to wound. They are 100% dedicated to killing as many of the other side as possible. They execute wounded enemy soldiers by dropping three or four more grenades on them. This is just poor strategy, especially for the Ukrainians- they should be fighting to WOUND. Wounding a soldier is a much greater drain on enemy resources than killing one.
If Americans had been behaving like this in Iraq or Afghanistan, they'd be court martialed as murderers. But our rules don't apply to the Ukrainians I guess.

Not sure why the downvote. What you say is true. Overwhelmingly via Indirect fire - with a not insignificant amount by drone/ fpv . Thats why Ukraine are on like number 5 mobilization - with street press gangs, actively introduced females into front line combat positions and have built a new 400 000 person cemetery.
Dropping a grenade on someone from the sky is an "indirect strike" just as much as a jet dropping a bomb or an artillery piece launching a shell over the horizon- are they counting drone killings/maiming as their own set of data?
There's a lot of footage of those indirect strikes you guys speak of, too. Russians deploying really precise airstrikes and artillery shots. It's kind of nuts to watch a heavy artillery piece blow up a tank from absurd distances.
Ukrainians have been deploying scatter munitions more and more frequently, which is pretty crazy to see in use and hitting actual targets.
