It's going to be unpopular here but we were a nation built on laws and this man with enough gusto and big enough stones to take down a pedophile could've done more with a different approach. Now he's going to prison over flushing a shit down the toilet.

Unfortunately, the law punishes those who act outside of it with harsher treatment than those within. The pedophile gets 2 years, the enforcer gets life.
If they nullify his charges they would put themselves and their friends at risk of being murdered.
