Boomer got mad at me today

I had to drop some stuff off at the post office, and its the first building on the left upon entering a parking lot. But there's a division in the center directing traffic right. I saw a truck parking and knew I could skip circling the parking lot as there's no oncoming traffic, so I made a left. This guy stops his truck half-way parked, rolls down his window, and starts shaking his hand and yelling. I half-circle around him and park, he parks. Walk inside and this old fart is yelling at me how to drive like I don't know about the fucking divider. Told him 'worry about yourself', he retorts 'fuck you'. Why do boomers start shit they can't finish over things that do not matter?

its not the road its a private lot and the divider is some new shit they added after the parking lot has been around for decades without it. As a logical person I can look at such a contraption, figure out its purpose, then consider the current situation (no oncoming traffic), and then take action appropriate to my goals rather than action I am directed to take.
