It’s basically a mp7, that they say will cost $1000 in 5.7X28mm.

I want one, do you?

Frangible ammunition in conjunction with wider calibers reduces the risk of over penetration.

Sort by actual diameter.

I've heard far too many horror stories of 9×19mm Parabellum failing to stop criminals. While it does have a decent caliber size of .355 inches, it has too little energy at an average of 500 ft⋅lbf. Granted it's very hard to stop someone when they're being fueled by adrenaline, and starting to go into shock.

A revolver chambered in 44 magnum can be excellent, the energy range is wide enough that you can buy ammunition that is of a low enough energy that it is comparable to 10mm auto, meaning overpenetration can be minimized.

10mm auto is another good choice, its caliber is .4 inches and has a smaller but still decent energy range.

A revolver in .41 Remington Magnum also exists and is a decent choice. It's in between 44 and 10mm.

If you're after a semi-automatic sub machine gun, which seems to be what you want, there are a few choices for 10mm.

Finally the Heckler & Koch MP5 chambered in 10mm. I was unable to find this for sale anywhere.

There's also an "Omega 10mm pistol" from Atlantic Firearms, however it looked questionable so I didn't bother linking it.

The Vector seems to be the cheapest choice, but always watch a few youtube videos, and read some online threads from owners to see if it's reliable.

Unfortunately, there aren't many options for large caliber, "intermediate like" energy pistol cartridges. 50AE also exists, but I'm pretty sure that will be too much for your purposes.

Edit: I swear I've had this conversation with someone before.
