Pretty much all cities in the West look like that to an extent. In my corner of the world there's certainly bags of garbage everywhere, graffiti, homeless and junkies.

I used to sleep on the Queens side of the Queens midtown tunnel by the little canal to the right.watch the tugs go by . Used to be a live chicken market there. That.was the 70's. No problem . No way now . Get outta there.
