Where do I begin?
I was a casual WWF/WCW viewer when I was a little kid up until high school during the WWF attitude era. I went to 2 different high schools and was friends with huge wrestling fans at both. One guy named Mike was a massive fan of The Rock and could do the eyebrow raise. He was a total nerd who would quote his favorite wrestler's monologues word by word after every episode of Raw or Smackdown. Cringey to say the least but he was entertaining.
The second friend, Jay, wasn't as cringe as Mike but had a shit ton of wrestling memorabilia and his mom was into wrestling so much that she had vanity license plates like "Y2J" & "X-Pac". He and his family had money and would always go to events whenever they came to town - even smaller ones put on by local promoters.
In 2013 I got a job as a stagehand at a venue that is no longer around. I worked there until 2018 and worked my way from a grunt to Assistant of Talent Relations aka I made sure all the backstage greenrooms were clean and stocked with whatever the performers wanted on their riders (snacks, clean towels, new socks, beverages, whatever to help them be more comfortable).
I worked at least 2 WWE shows a year and they were long and tough days, especially when I was a grunt. Start unloading trucks at 6am and it took until 2-3pm to set everything up. When I was a grunt I had to leave after we set up, couldn't watch the show(s) (WWE does multiple shows for every taping) and I would have to be back to work by 9:30pm to teardown until about 3am. When I was with talent relations I had to stay ALL FUCKING DAY. 22 FUCKING HOURS STRAIGHT and clean up the green rooms. Most of the Wrestlers were pretty clean, but there was always a mess in Vince McMahon's dressing room. He always had his own furniture to be set up in a specific way in his room, and always wanted Vitamin Water. We had to make sure we had cases on hand just for Vince and no one else.
One day I had the pleasure of cleaning up Vince's mess and found 4 used condoms unflushed in the toilet. One had blood on it. I freaked out, told my manager but he just said "Yeah, so what... We all signed an NDA and can't talk about anything." I went back to cleaning the room and found 3 more used condoms scattered all over the room. I thought to myself "There's no way these are all Vince's. One man can't fuck that many chicks in one night, especially for someone his age".
A few years ago I was hanging out with my friend, Dave, who also worked as a stagehand and assistant stage manager. We were talking about WWE shows and how they were a nightmare to work and I brought up the 7 used condoms. He told me that over the course of that specific night (and a few other times throughout the years) Vince would call the wrestlers performing the 2 main events to his dressing room for a meeting.
Apparently he was having gay sex with these guys, and rumor had it he would let the winner fuck him if he did a good job.
I fuckin laughed thinking Dave was bullshitting me and he says "Why do you think we always had to sign NDAs and lock up our phones whenever they came to our venue? NDAs are to legally protect them from any sexual or illegal BS that went on backstage. Same reason why we had to sign NDAs when Lady Gaga and Miley Cyrus played. We never had to sign NDAs for any other big events like Monster Jam, Disney on Ice, or any other concerts we put on. Lady Gaga and Miley are degenerate. Vince McMahon is one of the biggest perverts in the whole entertainment industry."
I couldn't believe what he told me. I always thought Vince was playing a character whenever he performed and all the respect I had for him flew out the window. I felt honored to work WWE shows and got to set up the WrestleMania XXX sign (which was really light and fabricated like shit and didn't have a back to it - Guess it doesn't matter when it's propped up high in the venue that no one could see the shitty welding job). I thought they had the best catered buffet in the whole entertainment industry and felt sick knowing that I enjoyed their food (the Wrestlers had to eat clean).
I got to meet The Rock, Batista (as guest refs) Randy Orton, Triple H, Daniel Bryan, CM Punk and Big Show when he was an announcer (that man is so big that he would have to duck his head and turn sideways throughout every door. One of the nicest guys in WWE too). All those memories were instantly tarnished. I have very mixed feelings about working WWE shows.
So to wrap this up, I'm glad Vince McMahon is finally getting exposed as the sexual deviant he is. I don't care if he's gay or bisexual, but I do care about him doing nasty sex things backstage in his dressing room with other wrestlers, especially with kids in the crowd just a few hundred feet away. You would think that a businessman like himself who has spent the past 40+ years building the WWF/WWE into an empire would have a bit more common sense to be focused on running a respectable company that caters to CHILDREN instead of getting his rocks off during days he needs to be on point.
Do that shit in your hotel room or tour bus. Not backstage when there's hundreds of people running around past your dressing room door. I'm getting sick just from remembering all this shit.
Over and out.
