1992, Don Reno and Red Smiley were inducted into the International Bluegrass Music Hall of Honor.

Bluegrass is going through a resurgence right now and it's really awesome to see/hear. People like Billy Strings, Molly Tuttle, and Chris Thele are bringing it to a new generation of people. People that are exhausted of the mainstream, manufactured garbage that's being force fed to us. I see people here say there's no good news music, but I'm here to tell you that's fuckin bullshit. You want to unkike the music you listen to? Bluegrass is one way to do it.

If you ever want to talk bluegrass let me know, I can point you in the direction of a lot of awesome music you've probably never had the opportunity to experience.

Got any good instrumental stuff? Give me your favorite recommendations.

I noticed even the decent country stuff still has degenerate drug mentions.

Bela Fleck - My Bluegrass Heart is probably what you're looking for. Great album that also features Billy Strings on guitar and Sierra Hull on the mandolin, as well as some others, and it's largely instrumental.

Or anything Sam Bush. They did The Newgrass Revival together. Two amazing musicians.

Not instrumental, but also check out The Punch Brothers, anything by Tony Rice, anything by Doc Watson. Sierra Hull is a mandolin virtuoso. You won't find degeneracy in any of that. The Petersens, Hyde Bluegrass Orchestra, Mandolin Orange, Nickel Creek are all awesome. That should get you started lol.

Also, there's bluegrass festivals all over the country. Two near me with different groups on different dates and different towns. Been to one as a kid. And my mom who hated country music loved the festival we went to. Way to go mom!

This is probably mine. It's praise music as well even though I don't consider myself Christian.

Same here about religion. But as a boy, their amazing false-echo vocalizations mesmerized me.

Okay, Rocky Top by the Osborne Brothers was great too. My almost favorite BG song.

Interestingly, my granddaughter married a guy named Osborne and he has a voice similar to these guys. Gonna look into it.
