The Canadian government spent more than $1 billion in vaccine procurement agreements to secure a domestic supply of over 429M doses.
Globally Pfizer sold $36.7 billion of its Covid vaccine worldwide in 2021, representing 45% of its total year revenue of $81.2 billion just that year. Plus all the money from ancillary pharmaceutical sales from giving people heart attacks and fertility issues.
Getting slapped with an 11M fine is laughable.
It's like back in January when Apple paid a US$13.6m (S$18.2m) fine to the Russian government over anti-consumer practices. Apple also makes $157 billion a day, each day, every day. It's like you or I receiving a fine for 20c.
