I'd like to get a Px4 this year, so the question is: go for what's currently available or spend the extra $200 on this?

Tomcats are nice little units. .32 acp. barrel pops up to put one in the chamber.

I know the video is TFB TV without clicking it; already seen it, lol.

I've wanted an Inox version for years and asked Beretta twice about when they'd do another run, and if they were officially discontinued. Both times they said they have not produced PX4s of any model for several years, but are not discontinued. Now the Type C and D models are discontinued, but those were pretty niche to begin with. Used Inox versions go for over $1,000 at auction and it wasn't worth that, so I eventually bought a standard black one in like-new shape.

Here's my thoughts: it's a good handgun with a great double action. The single action is crisp but has a lot of takeup. The reset is fairly long and there is significant takeup back to the wall. Feels less snappy than other polymer framed pistols. Langdon Tactical does really good trigger jobs and I'll eventually send mine off to them.

I bought a Grand Power K100 for $350 during last year's Black Friday sales and I've got to say if you want a rotating barrel delayed pistol, it beats the PX4 in every category except field stripping and reassembly, which takes some practice. Its rotating barrel design is a bit different than the PX4; it uses a roller cam instead of a PX4 style camblock. It also has an incredible stock trigger- better DA and SA than my CZ SP-01 Competition or any of my CZ clones for that matter. It's my new favorite duty-sized pistol. I'd recommend trying one out.

Nice review. I'd certainly give the K100 a try. Any time I'm perusing Global Ordnance (the Arex Zero 1 looks so sleek), the K100 usually catches my eye. Do you have the standard model or the "X-TRIM" model with the slide lightening cuts?

Standard model, because I gravitate toward non-cut for duty guns that I may or may not wind up carrying. Definitely eyeballing their X-Calibur CO, though; that pistol has been making a big splash lately in the competition world- enough for people to switch away from the good ol' Shadow 2.

I should not have watched that. I'm a SA/DA guy, so I added to the list of things I don't need but want. Praise from Langdon is high praise indeed. Might need to give it some time to shake out the bugs. $2500 for a full reworked Landon model ain't cheap, and for that kind of scratch it better be the "best polymer handgun on the market".

Watching SHOT Show content is dangerous for me as well.

I think Daniel Defense will be showcasing the Daniel H9 pistol, which looks like a fun piece. I've never handled a Hudson H9, but it looks like DD made some nice improvements to it and I like the unique aesthetic.

The shadow systems pistols are just high end glocks.

From what I hear, you buy a Shadow Systems pistol when you want an affordable "Glock" that comes stock with upgrades.

Lol, well it saves you finding an agency arms slide, decent trigger and flared magwell.

You are not wrong either.

Upvoated. @Olgguynewname, you got someone following you around downvoated your posts. You got one right after you posted here. Who'd you piss off? :-)

Who'd you piss off

The powerless aspect of this site who is happy to disagree but incapable of discussion.

Many are mad because doc made what I saw as a credible threat to "firebomb a casino" and well I notified FBI....we aint terrorists, we aint niggers. We are men and some women that can manage discussion and even disagree without threat to life and livelihoods.

Plus being that I am American Indian with a feather, and not a dot these assumed white power proponents gotta show their asses.

Essentially I showed them that real men must be held accountable and they didn't like it.

I carry a Glock 48 (non MOS) most of the time. Have two of them actually, one which has gen3 Shield Arms mag uprade. Keep in mind that optics and accessories with the right width for the 43x/48 MOS are few and really expensive.

Holosun makes that one specific to glocks.

This is my neighbors 34 with it. See how even the serrations line up?

These go on sale for 300 to 350 quite often if you look at gun deals on reddit.

They allow co-wittness as well.

My friend has that exact optic on his. I liked it well enough- still not sold on red dots for carry guns just yet, but should give it a go one of these days.

As beece noted: Someone is following you around with negs. Upvoted.

Yeah all it does is give me a minute between posts and inability to participate with chat.

You really should give optics on pistols a try, steer clear of green with holosun. Something about it just fucks the crispness of the reticle you decide to use.

Red is best.

[ - ] MuricaPersonified 0 points 8 monthsJan 24, 2024 10:59:04 ago (+0/-0)

I've noticed that with green on many optics, regardless of brand. I also have astigmatism so it's best to try out optics in person before I buy; many dots look like a starburst to me, with various levels of usability. True holosights like EOTECHs or the Vortex UH-1 are flat out unusable. This is the reason most of my rifle optics are prism. Buddy's Holosun dot didn't produce bad enough levels of distortion to be an issue.

[ - ] Oldguynewname 0 points 8 monthsJan 24, 2024 11:02:21 ago (+1/-1)

Yeah the lower the brightness you can see then go up 1 more click on holosuns is the best you will get.

Their auto brightness sucks shit.

I can't do eotech because I can see the dots that make up the reticle

The trijicon SRO 1MOA dot is really fucking nice

Not too shabby on price, either. Maybe my next carry piece will have an MOS cut. Probably won't be a Glock though; heard a lot of negative reports about their mounting configuration.

[ - ] Oldguynewname 0 points 8 monthsJan 24, 2024 11:28:26 ago (+1/-1)

It was all bullshit. You get the correct plate, and it works fine...they are lIke 30 bucks or so.

People are stupid when it comes to firearms since rona and everyone decided they needed one.

If you have a glock get that holosun optic made for the glock.

I wouldn't steer you wrong, but honestly any holosun pistol optic that you can see the reticle without distortion is well worth its price.

The SRO needs a full frame pistol...period! It is fucking huge.

Make sure you put your dick beaters on it and see if the 1 MOA is adequate. Some people it isnt.
