I’ve read his book.

He should have done more.

The only part about him that makes it impossible to believe he was the genius that wrote those letters, is how utterly meaningless and retarded that stupid little bombing campaign was.

It still blows my mind they never talk about how his brother turned him in for the reward and the FBI literally had nothing.

You are never going to get rid of technology. Even basic pottery is a technology. What you can do is get it into the hands of the right people and out of the hands of the wrong people. It's exactly like a gun. It's dangerous in the government's hands. It's better for it to be comparatively in citizens hands. AI is a strong example of what we want in our hands and not in theirs. Do you think the government is going to be running nerfed "ethical AI." It needs to be on our hardware, better than theirs, and poorly adaptable to their ends and highly adaptable to our ends. We've already seen with Tay that AI wants to be our friend.

Uncle Ted particularly didn't like the idea of technology controlling humans. Well governments are solely in the business of controlling humans so what do you think they are going to use it for.

He's not your "Uncle". People who use terms like this are pathetic bootlickers who lack a father figure in their life.

He said it himself, he wanted to be a hermit. And he was doing that, leading a shitty life out in the woods. But why did he have to force that on the rest of the world? The guy was a psycho.

And all you sycophants that treat him like a hero are the ultimate hypocrites. You're not living out in the woods with no electricity or indoor plumbing. You use the Internet on a regular basis. You enjoy all the modern comforts of life.

And while I find Kaczynski's actions reprehensible, at least he walked the talk, living out the lifestyle he advocated. Which is more that can be said for you mewling faggots that put this guy on a pedestal.

chrimony is a one trick pony, but is a very persistent pest. Give it up guys, you cannot win. His repeated arguments never end. The rest of us have real lives and we move along. He just tries endlessly to score points which usually include personal derogatory attacks. Sigh.

Note not one of you hypocrites and sycophants can counter what I said.

It’s a figure of speech. Uncle Charlie is, I bet you can’t guess.
Lighten up it’s not meant as a serious label or moniker.

Ok, soyboy.

[ - ] JustALover 5 points 3 monthsJan 22, 2024 16:52:08 ago (+6/-1)

I see you don't understand why we call him uncle ted. And I'm not going to bother to explain.

[ - ] PotatoWhisperer2 -1 points 3 monthsJan 22, 2024 17:52:16 ago (+1/-2)

And I'm not going to bother to explain.

The time for explanations is over.

[ - ] chrimony -4 points 3 monthsJan 22, 2024 18:10:18 ago (+0/-4)

There's nothing to explain. Nothing but hypocrites and fatherless sycophants.

[ - ] chrimony -4 points 3 monthsJan 22, 2024 18:09:19 ago (+0/-4)

Ok, bootlicker.

[ - ] autotic 1 point 3 monthsJan 22, 2024 19:59:10 ago (+1/-0)

He's the "crazy" uncle who stopped holding back because he just doesnt GAF.

[ - ] chrimony -3 points 3 monthsJan 22, 2024 20:42:51 ago (+0/-3)

It's a term of affection by sycophants who lack a father figure in their life.

[ - ] TheOriginal1Icemonkey 3 points 3 monthsJan 22, 2024 21:37:58 ago (+3/-0)

I use the term and my parents were married for 45 years and my father was always in my life. I’m thinking maybe you don’t like the term “uncle” because of you whore of a mother's boyfriends and you knowing them as “uncle”

[ - ] chrimony -3 points 3 monthsJan 22, 2024 22:13:20 ago (+0/-3)

I don't use the term "Uncle" for people who aren't part of my family. It's very soy.

[ - ] Nietzsche 1 point 3 monthsJan 22, 2024 18:31:44 ago (+1/-0)

You say his actions were reprehensible, but you give accolades for living his life by choice.

[ - ] chrimony -1 points 3 monthsJan 22, 2024 19:26:28 ago (+0/-1)

Yes, and?
