but i hate the poor too, the only way to be poor is to be an idiot AND be lazy. there are plenty people doing decent that are morons but work hard... plenty of geniuses that sit around all day and make it.

I do disagree. I think it is likely that you are an idiot and lazy, but there are a few people who can be poor and good people. People who value contributing to their community directly instead of chasing money would be poor. But that is 1% of the population who have acceded the system. But the majority of poor are not them.

One way to be free is to live a frugal life. If you have a home, some land, and everything paid for without debt, being poor is perfectly fine. At that point, you have the choice of when/where you want to engage in the economy, instead of being trapped by it.

if you have all those assets you aren't "poor" if everything is paid off and you have a small income (home steading) you aren't "poor"
