Yet fibre optic cable will always be used because satellites are retarded, fake and gay.

Starlinks over inflated weather balloon that stays buoyant for a few years at a time doesn't compete with cables laid in the oceans.

why are right wing types so dumb with tech? Starlink is here to stay and will bring massive pros and cons. Drumf is also a giant tard when it comes to tech.

Here to stay? Starlink like your fag space shit is subsidized.

Know tech? Says the space fag talking about satellites orbiting the ball at 17000 miles an hour.

You space fags are dumb as fucking rocks.

"GetFuckedCunt" is a flattard. But I've seen credible analysis that Starlink is not financially sustainable. The Russian invasion of Ukraine was probably the best thing to happen for it, because Pentagon money is pretty sweet.

$10.25M first year or $28.25M over 3 years, for that much money you could run fiber yourself to the middle of nowhere

edit: it's a shitty article, it's 75K per month, not 750K

Not a chance.

To lay fiber optic cable here, it can be anywhere from $50k to $80kAUD p/km.

Also people underestimate the sheer distances involved.

abbo's don't need 10gig internet though

speed sure, but no one talks about latency. yeah your gonna get lots of it. probably 700ms or greater all the time. good latency is below 100ms. Sat internet is better than nothing, if you have no other choice.

wronh wrong wrong
theu are not geostatinary sats. They are way closer. I think a geo sat is 10k miles, these are like 80 miles or less.

The latency on cell phone sucks, and the towers are closer than that. But probably below 100ms these days.
