Aircraft mechanic here. The wings are massive and fuel is stored in the wings.

[ - ] JustALover 8 points 1.4 yearsJan 20, 2024 08:03:56 ago (+8/-0)

Why the fuck do we need a goddamn aircraft mechanic to explain this? Does OP not have internet access? Does he not know what a search engine is?

He could have answered his own [retarded] question by writing a simple sentence and clicking the search button.

[ - ] iThinkiShitYourself 1 point 1.4 yearsJan 20, 2024 14:12:42 ago (+1/-0)

did YOU verify this information?

[ - ] kammmmak [op] 1 point 1.4 yearsJan 20, 2024 15:56:00 ago (+1/-0)*

I actually wanted to hear it from a legit source lol
You wouldn't believe the amount of fucking shills and idiots who say it's impossible, seriously.
And, you can count on a lot of interesting comments.

[ - ] JustALover 3 points 1.4 yearsJan 20, 2024 16:27:18 ago (+3/-0)

Oh, so you were only pretending to be retarded?

[ - ] Bottled_Tears 1 point 1.4 yearsJan 20, 2024 17:15:34 ago (+1/-0)

I was literally about to do that to confirm before I came into the comment section.

Shit post OP.

That's not even going into the fact that jet fuel, basically kerosene, has a way different density than water.

[ - ] we_kill_creativity 3 points 1.4 yearsJan 20, 2024 09:47:57 ago (+5/-2)

What does density have to do with volume? The density of a fluid doesn't change the size of a unit of measurement...

Scientific thinking isn't really your strong point, is it...?

[ - ] PeckerwoodPerry 3 points 1.4 yearsJan 20, 2024 10:03:26 ago (+3/-0)

You couldn't get a plane off the ground if it used water for fuel, Poindexter. The god damn wings would snap off. Comparing water to jet fuel is fuckin silly.

Thanks bud, I'm aware of that. What I'm saying is, well two things really. First, yes there is absolutely room to put that much fuel in the wings and second water is a poor comparison because it's too fuckin heavy.

I've spent a lot of time on air fields around military and civilian aircraft of all kinds. I worked the flight line for ten years at an airshow on the national circuit and I've watched many types of planes and rotor craft get fueled up. This is some silly flat earth level posting going on.

Doesn't matter man. People have done analysis on the valves for refueling planes and it also doesn't fit. Likely the engines are more efficient than companies are allowing people & engineers to know / talk about.

Nothing special besides engines beeing more efficient than they let on. All about airline price management.

Think about it. How does a freakin' airline afford the "rent" at a whole airport? How does ATC get paid? How do all of a whole airport's staff get paid? Besides foodservice, all of the money comes from ticket price. They say to the public that it's "gas cost" for the plane... it's not, and they just stuck with the lie.

I might not be the smartest person in the room but it might be due to the chemical formula and the amount of energy (joules) released from breaking the bonds or some shit.

I suspect OP is challenging QUANTITATIVE (volume of 63000 gal) possibilities, which you replied using QUALITATIVE (wings are huge) assessment.

Before you call me some crazy person, note that I'm not saying anything other than that. We could clear this up easily though. How many gallons of volume (could start at 3d dimensions of wings and work inward)? I'm curious myself, because I also keep hearing about this and never get quantitative answers.

EDIT: @FreeinTX answered this nicely by providing an article. Here is a quote from that. If true, nothing seems out of order with the jet fuel.

The 747-400 has eight fuel tanks, with a combined capacity of 57,164 gallons of Jet-A fuel. This amount weighs in excess of 380,000 pounds. (Pilots normally discuss fuel in terms of weight rather than volume.) The distribution of fuel among these tanks has a profound effect on how the aircraft performs. In particular, during a long trip, it is important that the fuel in some tanks be burned off before using the fuel in other tanks. Otherwise, the aircraft can become unbalanced.Fuel management in the 747-400 is largely automated, but there are still certain actions that are required from the crew. We will discuss them below.

They simply don't, the engines are more efficient than they're letting on. They stuck with the lie that all of the cost of flying on a plane is plane employment and fuel costs. It's not. How to airports support the radar, ATC, fueling/maintenance vehicles, hundreds of staff, etc? It's all wrapped up in ticket price

Other than quoting that here, yours is the best first response to the question I've seen. Thank you.

What are the dimensions of that tank? You don’t know. How large is a 747? You don’t know. Fucking moron.

[ - ] Tallest_Skil 3 points 1.4 yearsJan 20, 2024 07:31:29 ago (+5/-2)

So you’re still spamming this mental illness despite having had volume differences proven to you. Kill yourself. You can’t do basic calculus? You’re not white. No one is falling for your “planes aren’t real” kike bullshit. Literally commit suicide.

[ - ] we_kill_creativity 2 points 1.4 yearsJan 20, 2024 07:55:46 ago (+4/-2)

You didn't answer their question: where do they store the fuel?

It's not like anyone is saying planes don't exist. They obviously do, but if they don't have that much fuel, then they aren't operating the way we are told. Really big planes, that is. I have no doubt that "normal" prop planes simply use combustible fuel like you'd think.

[ - ] Tallest_Skil 3 points 1.4 yearsJan 20, 2024 09:58:46 ago (+4/-1)

you didn’t answer

I’m not obligated to prove 2+2=4 every single time a paid shill asks it.

where

The fucking wings. It’s not hard. This is just flat earth spam.

[ - ] Monica 2 points 1.4 yearsJan 20, 2024 08:35:01 ago (+5/-3)

You can look online where its stored. Its not a secret. This is jew poison.

[ - ] we_kill_creativity 0 points 1.4 yearsJan 20, 2024 09:44:58 ago (+2/-2)

It's on the internet!? Well gee golly gosh dangit guys!!!11

I'm not making a claim as to how much fuel is in a plane or where it's stored, but simply asking where several tons of fuel are stored in a machine that attempts to achieve the miracle of heavier than air flight isn't a stupid question, let alone "jew poison"...especially when you consider that flight paths make more sense on a flat Earth model and that it's fairly obvious at this point that the idea that the Earth is a giant ball floating in a giant vacuum is laughable science fiction.

[ - ] Spaceman84 0 points 1.4 yearsJan 20, 2024 12:42:04 ago (+1/-1)

Thank you for confirming that FE spazzes are utterly retarded. You have no conception of how large a 747 is. Truly smoothbrained.

[ - ] iThinkiShitYourself 2 points 1.4 yearsJan 20, 2024 11:50:19 ago (+2/-0)*

we need a point of reference to see how big this tank is

[ - ] JustALover 0 points 1.4 yearsJan 21, 2024 03:52:11 ago (+0/-0)

Just look at the ladder on the left. It's made for either humans or elephants, I can't tell which (and apparently neither can OP).

[ - ] Master_Foo 1 point 1.4 yearsJan 20, 2024 11:05:41 ago (+2/-1)

747s are fucking huge and that tank is tiny compared to the storage inside the wings.

[ - ] TheOriginal1Icemonkey 1 point 1.4 yearsJan 20, 2024 10:43:29 ago (+1/-0)

That’s retarded. The farmer down the road from me has 10,000 gallon tanks and this thing is larger than six of those. Dumbass.

[ - ] lolxd 0 points 1.4 yearsJan 21, 2024 00:18:42 ago (+0/-0)

It's a really big plane dude. You can probably do the math with a calculator.

[ - ] Steelerfish 0 points 1.4 yearsJan 20, 2024 22:44:52 ago (+0/-0)

The fuel tanks are typically next to the contrail tanks..

Jet fuel weigh's in at 6lbs. per gal.do the math.

Not only is space fake and gay, but air is pretty fake and gay too.

How it's put in the 747 is interesting too!

Well done, you internet aircraft engineers! You took a lazy question and turned it into a stupid argument. Only a few people bothered to answer it correctly. OP might have been lazy in posting the meme without obtaining an easily found answer, I did learn how an airliner stores its fuel, but no thanks you to contentious jerks.
