Using alexa, to start with, is insane. Not only does it save all your interactions, but the algorithms can recognize different people in the household, and assign characteristics to them (adult, child, etc.) cross reference the data to address and all known demographic data, cell phones data, shopping habits, television watching habits, house size, tax records, etc. It creates a set of digital fingerprints that can be given to law enforcement, advertisers, or the highest bidder.

Not only will idiots let the FBI spy on them, and huge corporations weaponize their marketing preferences, but now people will actually pay them to do it. It is boggling.

IKR, Amazon even built and run several of their own multi-billion dollar Data centers around the world for all the 'customer derived analytic data' they leech from participating Companies and individuals. All for sale to the highest bidder on the open market.

that's my thing about Alexa. If you have a smartphone with google on it, then the level of spying on you is far surpassed by that. When I leave my house, Alexa may know I'm gone, but not where I went. Google on the other hand knows it all. What we need are rights put in place by government to protect our data. please stop laughing.

I don’t have Alexa but iSiri already exists and does the same thing. I just sigh at the never ending level of greed. Already they have more money than they can spend but gotta get that extra dollar. I know if I did have Alexa this would be the moment I trash it

CCP vs niggers= i dont know man. i'm not fond of commies but the reality of the matter is that most of our stuff is already made in china or has chinese components in, anyway

i have a tablet with both google and alexa enabled and to be honest i used to use it for music until they raised the prices of amazon music and spotify and i just said fuck it and havent turned on the tablet since then.

besides i'm using ole winamp on my computer and i'm ripping my music from old CD's and youtube lol

i was fine by paying 7/8/9 bucks a month for music streaming but i wont be paying up 12/13 bucks for the same service. they lost a customer with me with the price increases
