These are the kinds of fucked up dogs my wife trolls the internet adoption sites for. She nagged me into adopting two of them. They’ve been absolute money pits, but physically they are now straightened out. They’re good dogs, once they got settled. They’re both afraid of car rides because we had to take them to the vet a lot, before they had accepted their new home.
One is so traumatized by something that even after 4 years, it’s still afraid of me. If I’m lying down or sitting, it will come say hello. If I stand up, it quickly leaves the room. My next dog will be a puppy without baggage, I don’t want anymore build-a-dog projects.
I’m not Madonna where I have money to just go adopting things. I’m not interested in paying vet bills for normal, relatively healthy dogs, let alone thousands and thousands for two that are fucked up. You must be loaded.
