The IceCream shops had the soda fountains and that's where couples would meet for dates.

Schoolboards didn't want teachers even tempted to date.

That's where the board of education hung out. Seems to be where all the school children were hanging out also. Quite a coincidence.

It might have something to do with prohibition and how men were eating more ice cream. It might've been where they'd pick up women since bars were illegal.

I would also think that they would emphasis family rearing skills and philosophy when they have their own kids.
