I think that might be true in Aussie land, but not so in the States. It's the opposite... Just like the direction water travels whence you flush...

The article left out an important part of men's toilet time: reading. It's a quiet, private place, where a man can be left alone with his thoughts, where he can focus on a good book or a web site he enjoys without inhibition. It's all very relaxing and helps the process. Of course, I won't exclude the possibility of self-abuse, which is also what men do in the toilet, especially if they have a phone. Filthy wankers.

I have one, it's my detached garage. It's where I can smoke, read, watch right wing videos, accompanied only by my doggies who love me unconditionally, and be left in peace. The wife lives separately (for reasons I don't want to explain here), so I have nothing but peace, quietude, and contentment, the only sounds being those from the neighborhood. But I don't shit there. That would be fucking gross, and I'm not a jew.

Oh, I found no criticism in your comment, so no offense. I know I'm lucky, most men don't have a place like this. It's bloody cold in the winter and blazing hot in the summer, but I grateful for the place I wanted I wanted most of my life. Cheers brother!

"without inhibition". Lost in the thinking...again?

Thanks for the correction. I fixed the typo. Lost in my carelessness, I guess. I don't proofread my own comments as well as I should. :)

Given that inhibition means 'the act of stopping or slowing down a process', his unexpected usage works there.

"...he can focus on a good book or a web site he enjoys with leisure."

Similar meaning in this context. But good for being wary of the grammar jew.

@Lost_In_The_Thinking Works either way, depending on your intended meaning.

Ok I see where you're coming from but I doubt your interpretation was his intended one.

I think @Lost_In_The_Thinking was saying that in the privacy of his outhouse he could read or surf the net with gay abandon. That if he wanted to laugh uproariously he could without disturbing his missus; that if he wanted to scream vein-popping obscenities, likewise. In short, he felt free of the constraints imposed by close-quarter living. He felt...without inhibition/uninhibited.
