Thanks for posting that link for the video. I watched another series of videos about Japan a few weeks ago, and got a real sense of how big of a shit-hole America really is! But not for the language and the weirdness of the culture, it seems like it would be a good place to live and raise a family!

Exactly. Where are the videos of the 737, 747, DC-10, etc. engineers strutting their stuff on the catwalk? Oh, they don't exist? Funny that, it's almost like the product was the focus and not the racial/sexual makeup of the staff. Almost like a meritocracy reigned and you could just assume that, because the bird reliably flew, that the team of engineers was competent regardless of race or genitalia (but you could do the research and learn it was entirely White males).

If I didn't have loved ones who fly regularly, or if I didn't have to fly consistently myself, I'd just sit back and laugh at the collapse. As it is, I have to keep myself right with God.

Just a point of accuracy, it wasn't a door. It was a fuselage plug that goes in place of an optional emergency exit door. If the plane isn't ordered with an emergency exit there, that plug is put in.

Which makes it arguably worse, since that's a much larger and more structural piece of the aircraft than just a door coming off...

As to the video.... bloody fucking hell... Why does every "girlboss" post have this exact same attitude.
