This tech has been around since the late 1970's. I knew guys who'd done time in Latin-America sharing stories like something out of "Predator" (1987). That China's talking publicly about it likely means they've got portable quantum processing that's cheap, quiet, and mass producible.

So it looks like a single axis fresnel lens that we've seen demonstrated before but instead of being molded in hard plastic it's molded in a softer flexible plastic.
