I'll bet there is a lot of music "out there" that you would enjoy. I have found a couple new genres in the last 5 years that I was unaware of, or at least unaware of many artists that play the type of music that I enjoy. If you listen to the radio you are not going to find much of anything new (or good for that matter, unless it is old music from last century).

I suggest you try Pandora and start a station based on a song that you really enjoy (and preferably from a band that you really enjoy, as well). You could also try Accuradio.com. They break down each genre into a myriad of sub genres.

Or... you can continue bitching about how bad the music is these days.

shilling for pandora? wtf?

Pandora is awesome. Suit yourself.

p.s. I don't pay for it.

So you choose to listen to advertisments?

[ - ] Centaurus 1 point 1.3 yearsJan 10, 2024 21:23:59 ago (+1/-0)

There's a commercial maybe every 5 songs. It is worth it, because I cannot find all that music on my own. Am I supposed to go buy it? If you don't like music, so be it. If you do like music, then where do you get it from?

I second Pandora. I've discovered more new music on Pandora than any other method. 2nd best method is going to big music festivals.

Same, I pay 4 bux a month to miss commercials, and have discovered all kinds of music I never knew existed

I usually discover new bands through friends by word of mouth. Or even suggestions on a site like this one. But there has not been much in the way of new music that I really got into very much lately, for years. Though the Southern River Band has potential. But usually when I want to hear music I pick up a guitar and play it

Someone clearly didn't watch the video.

"Music" as in, what most people are talking about, sucks now. It's not that's not any good musicians out there making good music, it's those artists aren't being sought out by the "music industry". They actually end the video by making the point that, counterintuitively, I suppose, the decentralization of the independent radio stations ultimately allowed the general populace to have a communal experience around good music.

Oh, and you suggest to go to pandora? Do you not know how their algorithms ultimately want to force you to have the same listening experience as everyone else? The same as youtube algorithms.

You have to aggressively use the up and downvote buttons to tailor it. I love Pandora.

You are correct, sir, I didn't watch the video. Hell, I barely read the title before I started typing a response. Afterwards I read the title and saw that I was barking up the wrong tree, but the advice about Pandora and Accuradio are spot-on.

Interesting video. Thanks. Here is a Rush song for no apparent reason, haha:

It is quite amazing isn't it that we have open music platforms and somehow were not turning out the best music

I’ll save you the time. The best producers don’t care about making anything sound good because the artists they work with don’t give a shit about writing anything decent and openly mock the work that came hundreds of years before them (made by white peoples). The kikeniggers are literally praying to Satan over their album releases, while the kikefaggots are getting money still because faggotkike fans are still paying good money for garbage. The incentives are just not there for good music, but for sloppy retard subgrade nonsense.

AI is even taking over because the style that is in is repetitive “lo-fi” stuff that can easily be programmed. Shit goes in, shit comes out. “No one cares, just get high and accept it, man!”

Doesn’t mean all music is bad; you can still find some amazing celtic-based guitar music that is heavenly. Just found out about Stephen Wake for example:

Nope. Jews. That’s all you need to know.

[ - ] Centaurus 0 points 1.3 yearsJan 10, 2024 21:20:06 ago (+0/-0)

No, lol. It must be close to bedtime because I realized after posting that I made a mistake. I still love Pandora, though.

So, you are @SumerBreeze?

Perhaps if you had watched the video you wouldn't have made the comment you did.

The first time they passed off 'blacks talking'= RAP, as music, music was dead.
