Pornhub pulling out of states over age verification is because the goal of pornhub is to provide kids with easy access to porn.

It's so obvious once you fully grok the implications.

I wouldn't have a problem losing the internet if it meant shutting porn off to keeds. I really wouldn't. Children have no need to watch porn, PERIOD! It destroys their impressionable minds. I'll stop before I rant. It just really pisses me off, kids watching porn. Ffs let kids be kids!

They could shut the porn stuff down if they wanted to in two seconds.
In my day it was some kid bringing a playboy mag to school.

I was just thinking the same thing but didn't want to be long winded. You got a playboy when you were ten or eleven and waited till you were thirteen or fourteen to find out what there was besides hair between a gals legs! I think of some of the things I've seen on the internet and the idea of kids seeing that is just revolting to me. Let's sexualize children before they even reach puberty, great idea! Fucking JOOZ man!

And you're probably right about that, they could shut that off IF they wanted too.

I don't think they could. They can't even get rid of drugs in the physical world. Getting rid of porn in a digital world can't be done.

If you really want to set them back get rid of copyright.

Go to your favorite search engine and type in “the damage porn does to young men” or any variation you choose. The answer is the same and is unanimous. When I was young, I said porn hell yeah! I got exploited. If your father caught you he would have knocked that shit out of you (if you had a father.)

It's a well known fact since the beginning. Free porn sites provide easy access to kids. It's the only reason free porn exists. Paid sites must check user's age by credit card.

It probably means they restrict access based on the geolocation associated with the IP address trying to connect to it. You can use a VPN or just use another site but people in those states trying to go to that specific site won't be able to or will have to jump through some hoops.

Yeah probably. Maybe there's some sort of symbolic victory or line in the sand being drawn. For example, taking the book 'This Book is Gay' (which teaches kids how to use gay dating apps to meet up with adults) out of public schools is something I'm all for, but I'm not sure how much practical impact it has when all kids have cell phones with access to everything anyhow. It might still be worth building the wall even if there are ways to get through it, so to speak. I don't really know.
