Would anyone like to co-admin another voat clone

I know, the last thing we need is another one. JK, you can never have too many.

I think it is helpful to have some group decision making. I want to start doing more group projects rather than solo projects and why not use my voat clone that is dead in the water to do it.

Currently it's just spammed to hell by one dude, but it can be turned around. https://matrix.gvid.tv/

We'd basically run it as a democracy between the admins. I just need to select who is in. It's a chance to have authority on some irrelevant part of the internet.

Free speech. I'm somewhere in between PMYB2 (before he gave away his site to AOU), and system. I'd say I'm closer to system though in terms of values. I think he's doing a great job but I think it's good for the voat legacy to try many things. I want to make a few more sorting algorithms available.

But my personal values are: Criticize Israel, anti-war, escape jewish masters, crypto, alt-tech, economic freedom, voluntary racial separation. But the site doesn't have to be exclusively about my values.

You lost me at "free speech". There's no such thing, especially when you want to operate a message board with right wing values based on the preservation of White culture, absolute intolerance for jews, and intolerance the people who do this will of jews. And when you have too much "free speech", you have children sniping at other uses for their moral choices. America was a much stronger country when there was much more intolerance for aberrant behavior and expression. If it were me, I would never have allowed Joe McCarthy to be on Voat, much less have his vanity sub. Commies deserve death.

He does provide traffic to your site. Which is very crucial in retaining newcomers. It only looks like spam, because there isn't enough flow through the site to balance it. Here on VOAT, he would look like any other poster.I suspect that he's bought into the brand, and wants MATRIX to succeed, that's why he posts so much. (I'm not directly challenging you, just providing an alternative perspective.)

I suppose that's one of the ideas of bringing on new people, then we can decide as a group if we want to have posting limits and how to judge things. I actually think a group can decide these things better (maybe), and I'd like to find out if it can. Maybe then that is what would set the site apart, having a council of admins where my take isn't always the right one. But that council should be made up of free speech advocates, and pro-white.

I am a free speech advocate, and I'm Catholic. However, I do think that there are some forms of speech that should be moderated on a forum.

I'll give you two examples to illustrate:

A.) Someone posts an article stating that the Vatican wants to bless "Same-sex" couples.
B.) Someone posts a self made video of a man dressed as the Blessed Virgin Mary and dancing in mockery of the Catholic Faith.

In case A, the Vatican is clearly making a real-world bad decision which shows the Church in a negative light. That should NOT be banned, because, it is a point of factual news, irregardless of how it makes the Church look.

In case B, some asshole is taking an unwarranted stab at a Catholic Church for no real reason than to cause shit. There is no sharing of information there, it's just promoting the homosexual ideology and their hate for Catholicism.

As far as being pro-white, I'm not anti-white. I have a 'live & let live' view of the world. There are plenty of antifa out there that ARE white, who hate whites and bent the knee to George Floyd. I am not them. There are good black folks out there that just want to live their lives peacefully and get their bills paid.

I do hope this doesn't disqualify me, but, worst case, I'm happy to offer my opinion on your site through the board, if asked.

I'm going to have to admit I'd end up disagreeing with you on B. But if we have multiple admins it is ok for one admin to have a view most people would disagree with because a more typical view would probably prevail.

I guess you don't have to be pro-white, but not being anti-white is pretty critical. I'm just never going to lead a site where advocating the existence of white people is labeled wrong.

Soooo...the only kind of speech you think should be moderated on a forum happens to be speech that is critical of the catholic church...? Are you fucking serious? NO...use Old Voat rules as the golden standard in most cases.

I've done a lot of projects solo and I want to experiment with doing team projects. Because it is a low value project now that's why it makes sense to use it try something different, and hand it over to community control. Then I can take what I learn from the process and apply it to higher traffic sites.

That's why you want more than one, so they can be over ruled. Trusting just one as a partner is the mistake PMYB2 made. Look at what happened to Poal. A good site otherwise. If only he finished follow through on making me and ThatsSoJewish admins. Then the two of us would have overruled AOU when PMYB2 died and that site would be fine.

Thanks for heading it up X0x7. I was down when old Voat died because there were so many great thinks that disappeared. I wanted to preserve my posts (I post primarily to V/LyingNewsMedia) and thought having a copy on Poal and here simultaneously as a second copy/backup would be a good thing. That is, until I once spelled Vote as Voat. Then I got kicked off the Poal island so to speak:-)

I love this upgoat version of voat, even if it lacks the same feel. I'm all about the free speech. Thanks for sharing the link. I support and wish you well in your endeavors.

I don't have enough against system to run. I've always liked the idea of a more distributed system. Transparent administration is important.

Yes. I like sites that log administration. It's the right way to do it. I don't have that coded in yet but nothing has been removed from the site except some illegal spam that hit once and that would have needed to be fully removed in any case. I'm pretty close to the remove nothing camp, but other admins can yield a more moderate view if that is the majority.

I'm not a programmer, but I can mod. I can be a global moderator and ban all the kike troll spammers, if you have a report function enabled. I have plenty of experience with spamming kike trolls since old Voat.
