I sailed in college. I’m not a sailor, but I had to take a physical elective in college. I lived and grew up in San Diego. Sailing was an elective. God damn that was fun. I hate the ocean. Salt water makes me puke to this day. But damnit, sailing was fun! My favorite was the simple dinghy. I graduated to Hobie cats, fast sleek and beautiful. I had just moved onto yacht sailing when I was activated and sent to war. I haven’t sailed since. But damn it, it was fun. War ruined my life.
