FTX’s Sam Bankman-Fried and Binance’s Changpeng Zhao went from industry titans to convicted frauds in the span of 12 months.

These fuckers backed tokenized stock for GME and AMC. When the market crashes, remember they were part of the fiasco.

I didn't see it mentioned, but recently all other charges were dropped against SBF. Probably due to all the politicians that took money from him. Can't let that cat out of the bag

What is the benefit of a "crypto company" over just using bitcoin or whatever your fav coin is?

I keep my limited shit in a cold wallet. The whole point is I don't have to interface with the banking system except maybe to put money in, but they even have bitcoin ATMs.

In fact, I used to use coinbase when I was first experimenting, until I realized that they were blocking certain BTC transfers, along with a lot of other annoying rules. And of course they report to the government.

Do you keep the entire chain, or just a subset? Have you used Bisq, without the entire chain?

Maybe cold is the wrong word. I've been using electrum .

This wallet uses SPV and random servers from a list. This means little trust in third parties is required when verifying payments. However, it is not as secure as a full node like Bitcoin Core.

Whatever that means. I don't have a lot of money in this, but I have used it for payments.

I know you can keep the wallet offline, with the key on a computer not connected to the internet. That's what I've experimented with. So you generate, for instance, a payment transaction on your offline computer, then only the signed version gets transferred to the computer that's internet connected.
