They weren't "fake electors". They weren't giving fake election results. And, alternate electors have been called for by democrats as recently as 2016 and have been used before, by democrats, when election results were disputed.

You mean like the Dems did, both in stuffing ballot boxes for the election and submitting fake elector ballots? Dems know they can't win an election without fraud. They began this in earnest in 1960 with Kennedy, and it hasn't stopped.
