Here's talking to you @con77:

"Get yourself a Glock and lose that nickel-plated sissy pistol," actor Tommy Lee Jones said in the 1998 movie US Marshals.

Here's something you might find interesting, old cobber.

Glock pistols, while considered by many to not be the prettiest gal at the dance, are noteworthy for their legendary reliability.

In fact, I once read of a shooting club passing a model 19 (9mm) between members, with them collectively putting 1 million rounds through it without cleaning it.

Wouldn't you know? It still fired.

I've used a Gen 2 model 22 (.40 S&W; slightly larger/heavier bullet, typically traveling a bit slower than a 9mm) for nearly 25 years now and, while I'm far below the 1 million round mark, it has never failed me.

Would you like to know the one thing short of physically damaging the unit that you can do to reliably jam a Glock time after time?

Another thing that just occurred to me is that the pistol I mentioned using above (the model 22, chambered in .40 S&W) is probably the very same model used by Tommy Lee Jones in US Marshals.

Did you know that the .40 S&W was developed specifically for this purpose (law enforcement)?

Would you like to know why?
