Well that is completely fucking illegal.

And violates the 1st amendment and others as well. Reading our fucking personal speech is illegal

Is there any proof this is actually true?

You could just use encrypted communication

Foxbot with Orbot

Well that is completely fucking illegal.

it is but who is going to tell them so? all our amendments have been either gutted or destroyed thanks to recent laws passed by CONgress.

what set of laws passed after nine.one.one? here's your answer

T Mobile fining people for ToS violations is illegal. Not because of the 1st Amendment, but because it's illegal to fine people in a way that's not meant to recoup damages.

For example, you can be fined for paying late or to have your service restored because your lack of payment causes a (very small) harm or it takes work to restore service. So, they can fine you for these things. But, they can't fine you because you simply broke one of their rules. That is illegal.

I'm completely against violence, and refuse to encourage it like at all, but I wouldn't mourn them if someone
broke into the board meeting and harmed every executive there.

it won't happen but its not illegal to wish ill on them.

How is it you still think the "law" matters?

Are you new here?

[ - ] TheNoticing 0 points 4 monthsDec 26, 2023 13:01:20 ago (+0/-0)

How is it illegal for a company to do that?

[ - ] Scyber 7 points 4 monthsDec 26, 2023 08:04:19 ago (+7/-0)

Lol. Just don't pay the fines. WTF are they gonna do?
Then sue them for violating your privacy and 1st Amendment Rights.
Use the 1971 Cohen vs California defense; aka "One man's vulgarity is another man's lyric."
I've actually used this a few times when assholes called the cops on me for calling them niggers or spics. Told the cops that it's racist for others to assume I can't say a word based on my skin color even though niggers use that word in every rap song and every day conversations amongst themselves.
Shuts em right the fuck up.

It's a real shocker that everyone here would get stirred up again without anybody spending the 30 seconds it takes to verify.

This is only for automated SMS campaigns where a company is sending out text messages in bulk. This is not for individual customers who send Hitler memes to their friends.

[ - ] BushChuck 2 points 4 monthsDec 26, 2023 10:28:12 ago (+2/-0)

lol, you are a gay frog in a pot of water.

[ - ] dassar 0 points 4 monthsDec 26, 2023 16:15:56 ago (+0/-0)

For now. Seems like slippery slope nonsense.

Curious what automated sms campaigns use sex hate alcohol tobacco or firearms language in mass txt outs ?

With a claim like that we're going to need at least one more source.

Looks like T mobile Bud lit itself.

If you don't have a VPN by now, it's time to get one.

[ - ] RobertJHarsh 0 points 4 monthsDec 26, 2023 10:44:49 ago (+0/-0)

This won't go anywhere. T mobile is a 3rd rate carrier. If Verizon or ATT were doing this I'd be concerned.

[ - ] Anus_Expander 0 points 4 monthsDec 26, 2023 13:19:34 ago (+0/-0)

I use Tmobile for phone and internet, zero issues, very fast

[ - ] mikenigger 0 points 4 monthsDec 26, 2023 08:55:38 ago (+0/-0)

[ - ] con77 0 points 4 monthsDec 26, 2023 08:04:50 ago (+0/-0)

Fuck that

[ - ] Wolfspider 0 points 4 monthsDec 26, 2023 07:48:08 ago (+0/-0)

I wonder if they will be going after MVNOs, like Lyca Mobile, BT Mobile, or Ultramobile with those fines? Virtual networks that use their data would seem a likely target.

[ - ] FreeinTX 0 points 4 monthsDec 26, 2023 07:08:32 ago (+0/-0)

He's full of shit.

That would be illegal.

[ - ] LiberalsAreMental 0 points 4 monthsDec 26, 2023 07:06:40 ago (+0/-0)

He's wrong. It's not that you get a $1k fine for something that is illegal in all 50 states. It's that you get a $1k fine for anything that is illegal in even one state.

For example, billboards are illegal in Hawaii and have been since 1920, so if you do anything with a billboard, that is a $1k fine.

Which links to "bandwidth.com", which is for some "enterprise" bullshit. This is about companies sending out mass text and voice, not consumers.

[ - ] UncleDoug 0 points 4 monthsDec 26, 2023 05:52:13 ago (+0/-0)

LOL, change telcos. Get woke, go broke.

LOL, change telcos. Get woke, go broke.

wait until the all the telcos employ a similar scheme. first they are going to try to hurt you finally in to "right think" if that doesnt work then there will be jail time for "hate speech" its already written in code in our laws

these ppl are smart you are paying them to spy you
