Man, and those oak trees were breathing at me too.🤣 It’s funny, I went back to that park and sat at that same bench about 30 years later and took the whole thing in again, sober, and the park was not quite as big as I’d remembered it. The creek was shallower and the bridge shorter. The trees weren’t so big and the grass so green. It became apparent the small world I lived in at 13 1/2 years old that summer.
