New Tards - A term for post-Old Voat newbies.

There are new...well, should we call them Goats? I prefer New Tards. I explained my thinking a bit in this comment

Basically, Voat made the retarded chat communities ready for our diaspora, and our diaspora prepared the retarded chat communities for the return of some form of Voat. New Voat, whatever that becomes.

Regardless, I think the term New Tards is a great way to differentiate between old Goats and newcomers. And it will give the newcomers a concept of themselves to identify with, and help the newcomers come even more. That last sentence is incredibly awkward. I meant, as in come here...as in join the Voat community. And I think that's important.

Yeah, let's definitely be careful not to shit on people we refer to as "newfags", because that makes sense. But I think New Tards are a distinct group from whatever newfags are.

It's not about badges or any of the normal "we're part of a club" stuff so many Goats drool over. It's about concepts and ideas. The idea of what New Voat can/should/will/might be. The idea of how the newcomers to New Voat might conceptualize themselves. The idea of how New Tard rhymes with Q tard.

In my mind, there are three distinct identities in the overall Voat community: Goats, Q tards, and New Tards.

Goats: Those who were on Voat before Q.

Q tards: Those who were on Voat post Q.

New Tards: Those who became part of the Voat community post Old Voat, on the retarded chats.

I think these concepts are actually pretty important for us to at least have in our minds if we were to bring a New Voat back online. It will help inform us how to handle any newcomers to the Voat lineage.

I already defined "Voat lineage"...the different generations of Voat users. Goats, Q tards, and New Tards. And I already defined those groups in the previous comment.

The reason you think I'm "overthinking it" is because you assumed I meant some stupid badge thing to simply designate new accounts, when I was thinking way bigger, and way longer term than that.

Look...there's going to be a New Voat. It's in the works and has been for quite some time. And when that takes place, whatever it is, and whatever it looks like...we'd be smart to be consciously aware of the New Tards and use the Voat immune system on them.

That's fair. I'm not sure what I'd define it as. Part of it would be how old their first acct is, or when they started lurking. Up to six months from first lurk Id call a newfag. And tbh, I don't think we get that many of those. I don't know. Maybe I'm wrong.

I have a 21 year old profile/account on DreamViews, a lucid dreaming website. But there are newer people far more experienced in lucid dreaming, well versed in the terminology, and far more active on the site than I am. For me to lay some claim on that site over all the newer people would be complete faggotry.

Upgoat isn't even going to be New Voat. There are Goats working on a New Voat right now, and have been for awhile. When I say "New Voat", I'm talking more about a concept than a specific site, and I'm definitely not talking about Upgoat.
