Do employers ever try to verify your degree without you knowing?

Because I locked out my records so that no one can see them unless I give permission for them to be released.

Most non-blue-collar employers do background checks on all new hires.

background checks on all new hires.

the question is: Do employers ever try to verify your degree without you knowing?

this is not a simple question and you did not answer it

In my limited experience, a background check by employers has also included a verification of graduation.

I assumed they checked when I submitted a resume.

I've asked people at my company if they had to show proof for their wage and title and they said no. But I have heard that people have been caught or if you try to move up after they could find out.

I dropped out of college because I thought it was stupid. I put the college I went to on my resume and application for a high earning job at a large corporation. I didn't claim to have graduated but it was implied. I got the job and nobody asked me anything about my lack of degree.

They specifically wanted me though, so that might have helped. Still HR and any background check would have been from an independent group in the company.

If you're applying with an independent small business, they're less likely to. They function as complete human beings and use their personal judgement. You like them and make the interview comfortable for them.

Why don't you just re-read that question very closely.

I think employers check everything on a resume depending on the position they're trying to fill. If something goes wrong down the road, the liability is on them for not checking. Also copies of credentials should be attached to the resume.

Quit anon posting and get a fucking job as a line cook at Denny's.
You are asking "line cook" level questions, so just accept that you are a line cook and get on with it.

To answer your question, the manager at Denny's doesn't care about your background.
They aren't going to bother looking up the past of an insignificant person.

You're a very bitter person. Who hurt you?
