They campaigned. You say they weren't elected democratically because...they campaigned.

"Weimar germany was very progressive"

The germans were selling themselves and their kids to the rest of the world as sex slaves because otherwise their kids didn't have anything to eat. "Better my young daughter gets fucked by some old foreign pervert than starve to death" is what this guy is telling us is "progressive".

"The Germans hated the nazis"

The streets were filled with gangwars between German pro-fascists and soviet-sponsored antifa. This is true, but what he leaves out is that this happen after the soviet-backed terrorists were regularly carrying out attacks that killed innocent men, women, and children.

The first acts of war started long before the war did, and they were even happening before the mazis took power, in fact the ascent of the national socialists was in large part a response to the acts of those like the soviets who had openly expressed their plan to genocide all the germans, and among those on board with german annihilation were many representatives of the german jews.

The nazis received support even from the people they got famous for killing, the jews supported them, the gays supported them, they were loved by the capitalists and communists.

It's not like the nazis were hiding what they wanted to do, many supported them because of their platform, rather than in spite of it. They wanted their nation restored, they wanted their people not to be taken advantage of anymore, they wanted jobs and an economic revival, even the jews were on board with being given a homeland of their own.

The nazis delivered exactly what they had promised and did exactly what they said they would.

To pretend that anyone had no clue what they were voting for is ridiculous. To say that they weren't widely supported, were lying about being socialist, and hadn't taken power democratically, these are all lies that are easily shown false when you actually take the full bredth of the data and put this guy's cherry-picked "facts" into context.

He's doing all he can to mislead his audience short of telling outright lies, he presents facts I'm isolation and words them carefully to mislead his viewers to believe in the complete opposite of what had actually occurred.

Why? Because he hates nazis and wants to believe that the German people would never have supported them.

Because the alternative is that when economic collapse hits again, as he knows it is soon to occur, that the fascist mentality will once again arise.

Because fascism is socialism, but the socialism of the strong, providing for the whole of the world is next to impossible and will lead to every little groups fighting for their piece, Lenin and Stalin had to rely upon genocides of troublesome groups to keep this from tearing their regime apart.

The fascists embrace this struggle rather than denying it, and focus on only one particular group, the nation, and under these conditions they could provide the socialist dream.

You cannot unentangle fascism from socialism just because it doesn't suit your false presentation of socialists as these kindly loving prog-liberal sorts. That's a very new interpretation of the socialist message that resulted from them rebranding thenselves for a modern audience.
