My veggie patch is a mess (please don't agree too enthusiastically). Next year ...netting!

The problem is this critter - the bower bird:

The female is a lovely bird and has a lovely whooping sound at dawn (male has the same sound, I think, but isn't as attractive). But the bower bird is partly a ground bird and very adept at getting into small places where it snips the leaves of new plants. So the plants hardly get a chance to grow let alone have fruit. I think the bower bird is probably second only to the brush turkey as an Aus gardener's nightmare.

I wish i had those kind of problems. Absolutely no critters here, just a bunch of snow to shovel.

Yeah I'm not a fan of the cold. The heat can be unbearable but it's exotic, adventurous ...

It's good to be back, at least I think I'm back, I suspect the big dog @sysxxx might have actually banned me. I had to slip in the back door.. I've reached out to him to ask about getting my old moniker back, because I really hate this one, but it was somewhat clever and maybe a tad little catchy, and I needed something, just anything. How is life down under? Kudos on the garden, are you the more proficient in gardening, or, does the Mrs. have mad gardening skills too?

Yes isnark was original so I hope you get it back. All is good here except very humid but I'd rather the heat than the cold. I'm not a good gardener but I enjoy it (I don't take it too seriously). The missus is a better gardener but is very messy!
