When I was 18, I had no direction in life and was jobless, so I signed up for the Army. I was going to be what at that time was a 92-Bravo Combat Medic. Dumb mistake. I’m not the kind of guy that can be trained like that and I knew it deep down. The only way someone is going to break me is through extreme physical violence. Anyway, by the 2nd day at the reception center down at Fort Leonard Wood, I knew I made a mistake and I wasn’t staying and I got out on Day 6. A couple of military people have tried to shame me for that, but fuck them. I came home in one piece and some of their friends didn’t. And for what? Jewish profiteering? Certainly not to protect the citizens and our sovereignty, that’s for sure. You went to the military and learned about rifles and bivouac? Great. I stayed here in NYC and played basketball all summer and got pussy. The only thing I missed out on was a no-interest home loan, as far as I’m concerned. Life and limb was not worth that.
Anyway, I went in right after Desert Storm and we were at a time of peace, so I was basically able to menace and threaten my way out. Initially, I tried to talk my way out, but they didn’t want to hear that shit. After threatening to kill some guys with my bare hands during morning formation, the Drill Sergeant ended up putting me under guard by the MPs, and they then put me in the military psych ward where I continued to threaten and menace the doctors and nurses and pounded on the padded walls all day long for 40 minute clips until my fists were raw. Yeah, I wasn’t going out like Klinger. I ended up getting a Generalized Discharge due to Entry Level Performance and Conduct. Never affected me in my life and all things considered I have done alright for myself with the exception of a couple of bumps in the road. That bullshit the military tells you about how “You’ll never find a job and this will follow you all your life” is just that: Bullshit.
On job applications, I put that I was never in the military and no one has ever challenged that. I imagine if I applied for a government job, it might come up, but private sector could care less. This is basically the story of my life: Like Frank Sinatra, I do it my way, and I rarely subject myself to bullshit—particularly at this age.

I seriously considered joining the Navy as soon as i left high school (mid 80's) - literally only wanted to travel/ work on a ship and have shore leave in a different land - thats it. Sent away for the brochure and application etc, Told my group of friends at school and they ripped me for weeks about it and one said he knew someone that told him the only thing that stopped him was it were full of gheys. Lol. Me being a dumb 15 year old thought he was legit and Ultimately that was that reason i didnt go through with it. Now looking back - i kinda wish i did go through with it .
EDIT: Actually went to sign up for the army around 88/89, attended an induction seminar at the King Edward Barracks and filled out paperwork just in time for the Govt of the day to announce cost cutting measures including deferring any new Armed forces intakes for two years. Fuck my life always a day short and a dollar late / lol.
E2: My life synopsis: At 8 or 9, I liked computers. I programmed. It was fun. Now I'm 50 still programming. Hatred exists for what I once loved, but I continue to do it anyway.
It's going to be the dominate form of war. There's no million dollar tank that's immune. Infantry have no chance.
They're presumably scrambling to correct their sluggishness in adapting, but sufficient drone teams could just sweep over the battlefield with no humans near it. That's going to throw a real kink into strategy as the range increases.

Drones are radio controlled; jamming frequencies by overwhelming them should already be done. Small radar systems attached to an turret could shoot them out of the sky. The phalynx gun is already out there but needs to be scaled down to pellet gun strength.
They've developed and deployed some turret jammers. Not sure of their effective range. Probably not enough for the mortar/artillery shell droppers. Might work on the suicide drones.
Netting could catch the suiciders. The dropped stuff would be hard to block.
Although you do more damage to enemy forces by severely wounding, rather than killing. Assuming they attempt some kind of medical care, that's going to divert enemy resources to recovery, transport to a trauma unit, then hospitalization.
No it's not. Killing an incapacitated solider is not a war crime, even killing a soldier 'surrendering' if you can-not 'meet the terms of accepting' the surrender, ie you can not surrender to a drone in an active combat zone.
