On a different note, I don’t agree with robot servers and self serving stores. They are taking jobs away from humans. If you know anything about Korea, you would know how difficult the population finds it to make money in this new economy. Not everyone can be a coder or a gamer. One of the burgeoning job sectors is delivery guys on their bikes in Seoul. They usually have three jobs just to make ends meet. Now they are going to be fired from the convenience stores and restaurants because of the shitty robots. Next thing you know, the self driving cars will take their delivery gigs away too.

This is not progress.

South Korea has the highest rate of suicide in the world. Higher than Scandinavia, higher than Japan.
And most of the suicides are due to financial issues because there are no jobs for normal people in this new fake economy.

Jobs that are always needed for the foreseeable should be encouraged to study/train for and the pay increased and then a basic UBI. Sure the UBI people won't live an extravagant life, but it'll be good enough and you'll have plenty of free time. The people doing the remaining work will be heavily relied on and this vastly out earn the rest. Sounds fair. Let the robots do the boring work.

This is capitalism. A hundred years ago the west said jobs are disappearing and we have to ration them. That is not capitalistic. But it helped the economy get along until the present. The East did not have that labor revolution.

We need more job rationing or people will continue to underbid each other to have a job and poverty will be inevitable.
