This is somewhat accurate, in a way. Without a dam, the river would just flow and not cause that many problems. But once the dam is in place, the river becomes a massive reservoir that constitutes a mortal danger to anyone downstream should the dam ever fail.

Just like the existence of Israel has created a massive reservoir of islamic terrorists just waiting for the slightest weakness to be unleashed.

So it's not that Israel is "holding back the torrent of islamic terrorism" so much as they created the problem in the first place.

Glass the Middle East and you solve both problems at once.
