A lot of other countries in Asia will not let foreigners own land. They’ll let you own a condo, but not the land underneath it.

You can buy the house/ apartment and lease the land for 100 years.

From memory some parts of Hawaii are like this.

Sometimes it's a good option if your planning up opening a business.
