I put up lights on the house and decorations in the front yard today. Just so happened that today was also the day the local fire department was driving Santa through the neighborhood in a ladder truck while hitting the siren to let kids know he was coming down the street. Santa would engage with the kids who came running up, and he'd wave and give a nice, loud Merry Christmas to those out doing whatever. As he drove past we exchanged waves and greetings, I thought "fuckin' a right" and was glad I live in this town.
